We've had good snow shower activity over the last three days to say goodbye to the 2011 snow season.
This morning it's overcast at the resorts, with some fog patches and a light SSE'ly wind.
Falls Creek will be open today for skiing and boarding however, today is their last day of lift operations for the season.

Hotham Challenge Ride - registrations OPEN TOMORROW
With a new name and a new challenging ride leg in 2012, the Hotham Challenge Ride is set to cause ripples throughout the road cycling community.
Formerly the Dinner Plain Festival of Cycling, this event is in its sixth year and will push riders to new heights with the addition of the 208km Dinner Plain to Buffalo return ride leg.
Partnering again with Ridewiser to offer support to riders on all ride legs, this year we are excited to announce that Melbourne pro-cycling team Velobourne have also joined our team to offer rider support and complete the new epic Buffalo ride leg. Ride with the pros!
Registrations for the Hotham Challenge Ride OPEN TOMORROW and numbers are strictly capped at 120 riders for 2012 so get in quick to avoid disappointment.
For just $280 you will receive Ridewiser and Velobourne on-road support for all rides over the three-day long weekend, coaching clinic and mechanical workshop, official event jersey, pre-dinner snacks at the Hotham Challenge Ride event briefing and a post ride gourmet BBQ at Rundells Alpine Lodge, the official event headquarters. The Monday ride in the Omeo region with full support and lunch is an additional $45.
This three day event is social as well as challenging, so bring your friends and family. They are welcome to join in for the Official Welcome Dinner, post-ride BBQ and Monday ride lunch.

Christmas is just around the corner and Hotham and Dinner Plain are embracing the end of year festivities!
Carols in the Alps will be held in Dinner Plain on Wednesday 21 December at 7.30pm. Sing along in the Secret Garden under the giant Christmas tree behind Alphutte. Presented by Brian Smith with Wilbur Wilde, John Houghtan, Kathy Anstey, Wangaratta Pipe Band, Swifts Creek Primary School Choir and of course Santa! BYO picnic hamper, the bar at Alphutte will be open.
Will you be counting down to 2012 at Hotham or Dinner Plain? Kick the celebrations off early at Zirky's café as Dean Haitani, a local ambient acoustic musician plays an array of genres over a long lunch. He'll also be making an appearance at the Hamster Bar at High Plains Lodge for the countdown to the New Year. If 'hair of the dog' is your style, the hangover party commences at 2pm at the Hamster Bar on New Year's Day.
Rundells Alpine Lodge is offering a four course dinner with a glass of sparkling for $99, with live music from Tom Tuena.
The General Store will have live music. Shuttle buses will operate between Hotham and Dinner Plain so guests can leave the car at home.
