East Gippsland Fishing Report

Whiting around The Islands taking pippies and worm, also tailor on pilchards. Beach fishing for salmon and snapper on pilchards. Offshore if you can get out, Six Mile Reef for morwong, pinkies and nanagi on pilchards.
Bream, snapper (large) and perch are biting from past Cameron’s Arm heading to Nowa Nowa using lures. Flathead are also in the same area taking prawn. Big tailor are in the main Lake on spinners
Bream are plentiful on The Backwater taking shrimp and prawn. Downstream at Grassy Banks bream are biting on cured sandworm. Small size perch have been caught near the Highway bridge on earthworm and plastic lures
Good sized bream are abundant closer to the mouth in the salty water. Best results with fresh shrimp

Fairly quiet at the moment. Bream are around, best bait prawn. Whiting are being caught on shrimp at Nungurner Jetty.
Not much happening this week, quiet due to the current weather.
No new report this week. Last week Jones Bay, Blonde Bay and the Loch Sport jetties were best for bream and mullet on sandworm, soft shell, worm and peeled prawn.
Due to the recent rain, the river is high. The weather is also playing its part in limiting the amount fishing being done.
