Lakes Entrance: Some King George and Silver Whiting are at The Floating Dragon Jetty taking worm. Kalimna Jetty on incoming tide for juvenile Salmon with best results using silver lures. Offshore Pipeline and Six Mile Reef for Pinkies and Snapper. Water temperature is 16.5o . ‘Gummies’ and Flathead are closer to the beach.

Lake Tyers: Bream and Flathead are around Devil’s Hole, and upwards to Stoney Bay on peeled prawn. Tailor are in the system taking lures, but use wire traces for best results. Tailor are around 75cm mark.

Mitchell River: Bream are still around the river mouth and The Cut. Luderick are also at The Cut and up towards Grassy Banks with worm as preferred bait.

Tambo River: The best spots for Bream, at the moment, are the Powerlines area with yabbies, prawn and worm as preferred bait (also try Whelan’s).

Nicholson: The Two Bridges is a spot to find Bream using lures. Heading further up the cliffs, Car Bodies and The Cliffs are all good spots to try for Bream, Flathead and Mullet using shrimp, prawn and worm.

Metung: Boxes Creek, Bancroft Bay and Chinaman’s Creek are worth a look for Bream, Mullet and Perch. Try the shallow water areas for Flathead and Bream towards evening.

Paynesville: The Strait is producing good size Bream around the 35cm mark with prawn and worm as preferred bait.

Hollands Landing: Bream are about, but need to work hard to find them. Tom’s Creek, Wood Pile and Jones Bay are worth a look. The surf is still producing ‘Gummies’, Salmon on pilchard, popper and squid.

Marlo: The rivers and the lakes are producing Perch, Luderick, Bream and Mullet. Best baits are worm and prawn. The surf for Salmon on pilchards and popper. Offshore for ‘Gummies’, ‘Pinkies’ and Flathead. Water temperature is 16.5o

Bemm River: Fishing is really good. The lake, channel and river system are producing Bream, Flathead and Luderick. For best results use worm, local prawn and soft plastics. The surf beach for Salmon on lures and pilchards.

Tamboon Inlet: The river and lake are best for Bream with worm as preferred bait. Peter’s Rock for Snapper and Trevally on pilchards.

Mallacoota: Slipway for Luderick on weed. Bream and Flathead are in the system with best results using yabbies and prawn. The top lake also has Flathead taking soft plastics. Surf beach is a bit windy at the moment.

Omeo High Country: Trout are to be found in the Mitta-Mitta River, with earth worms and lures for best results.
